Kalmat Foundation envisions a bigger and brighter future for these children and hopes to remain involved in their lives as they reach adulthood.
Our MISSION
We seek to improve the life and the future of children in South Asia by providing their basic needs to continue their education. We want them to grow up in a healthy environment and have a fair chance to achieve their full potential.
Our donation packages include a pair of school “uniform” shoes, books and other educational essentials for a child to remain in school for the entire school year.

What We've Achieved
Since the inception in 2011, we have donated over 3240 packages to help children remain in school
During COVID-19 era, we have supported 54 children who were locked-in and otherwise unable to purchase the basic school essentials
In 2019, we enabled 472 children to remain in school by providing them with a pair of school shoes and school supplies
Two of the supported children in 2019 scored high marks in the nationwide Scholarship exam administered to Grade 5 students in Sri Lanka
